Emergency Management

​ The Office of Emergency Management promotes a comprehensive emergency management program to mitigate the community’s impacts from manmade, natural or technological disasters and potential catastrophic incidents by utilizing mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery strategies.

The City’s emergency management system is outlined in the State Code and within Local Ordinance.  The Deputy City Manager of Public Safety is the Emergency Management Coordinator.  The Director of the Office of Emergency Management oversees day-to-day operations and activities, as​sisted by a Senior Planner, two Planners and the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Volunteer Coordinator.
